Fellowship Opportunity
Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics UC Berkeley The Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics, a joint venture of the University of California at Berkeley and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and under the direction of Professor George Smoot, invites applications for one or more Postdoctoral Fellows to begin in the Fall of 2010. While we encourage applicants in all areas of cosmology theory and observation, particular attention will be given to researchers investigating astrophysical probes of fundamental physics. The fellowships will be awarded initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension for an additional 3 years. In addition to a competitive salary, the position includes benefits and ample funds for travel and other research expenses. Candidates must have a Ph.D. by the fellowship start date in astrophysics or a related field. Applicants who are non-US citizens are contingent upon eligibility for obtaining J-1 Scholar visa status for the duration of the fellowship. The BCCP does not support H1B visa status.
