We have a room block at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza, which will cost
$139/night for either single or double occupancy, and should be able to
accommodate reservations up to 3 days before/after the
conference. Government rate is $114/night for anyone who has a
government I.D. If you have any questions about whether you
qualify, please contact the hotel. If you want to share a room,
please be sure to
ask
for 2 beds.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION (deadline:
January
5)
Presentations are welcome on (1) scientific results from CARMA;
(2)
technical developments (present and future) on CARMA; (3) CARMA
data reduction and analysis; and (4) Observing campaigns with CARMA in
the ALMA
era. We especially seek talks to describe large, comprehensive
observing programs that can be carried out with existing capabilities
or can be enabled with technical improvements in the array (e.g.,
increased bandwidth, focal plane arrays.)
Your title and/or abstract should make
clear which category your presentation falls into. Please specify
if
you would like a talk or a poster. We will try to
accommodate all talk requests, but due to time constraints some may be
assigned to the poster session instead. Posters are limited to a
size of 3'Wx4'H".

The
intended audience is current and prospective CARMA users, both
within and outside of the consortium. The registration fee is
$150/person. This includes the cost of the banquet, four
coffee breaks, one working lunch, the meeting space, setup and cleanup
costs, and all service charges associated with the hotel.

TRAVEL
Arriving from SFO:
BART: Board the BART in the
International terminal toward Pittsburg/Bay Point and transfer to the
Richmond line at 19th Street Oakland Station. The transfer is
timed, meaning that the Richmond-bound train (which stops in Berkeley)
should be waiting on the other side of the platform. Get off the
BART at the Downtown Berkeley station.
Hotel Shattuck is located directly outside the west Allston Way BART
exit. This is the least expensive option.
SuperShuttle and Bayporter Express also run
to/from the airports to downtown Berkeley and cost about $40 per leg.

directions
Arriving from OAK:
BART: Take the AirBart shuttle ($3,
exact change) to the Coliseum BART station. Get on the Richmond
line, which takes you directly to Downtown Berkeley.
Supershuttle and Bayporter Express also run
to/from OAK, and costs about $25 per leg.

For all public transportation information in the Bay Area, you can
visit transit.511.org, which
includes schedules for all buses, the BART, as well as information
about transportation in the surrounding area.
If you are driving in from CARMA/OVRO, make sure that you check which mountain passes
are open.
