To start a videoconference:
- Turn on the TV.
- Turn on the Viewstation (black switch on back side of the unit on
top of the TV)
- Pick the target out of the address book, or select "Video
Call" to enter an address by hand.
- For "Video Call", type in the IP address. Either right-arrow or # will enter a '.'
- Hit the green button on the remote to initiate the call
To use the second camera in 544 for a videoconference:
- A green light on the ceiling camera indicates it is on.
- If the light is
red, find the remote labelled "Video Camera" and push the power on
button.
- The second camera is connected to the "Document Camera" port on
the Viewstation. Thus the remote site should select the "Document
Camera" option in order to see the image from the second camera.
To use the Document Camera:
- Power on the projector by pressing the power button on the remote
TWICE.
- Once it's on, press the Video button on the remote.
- Set up the Document camera:
- Unfold the lights to either side
- Press the unlatch button at the base of the camera support and
lift the camera fully upwards
- Rotate the camera to face the table, with the switches on the
camera facing to the right
- Flip the power switch on the left side of the unit. It takes
about 30 seconds to boot.
- Place your document under the camera. Use the Lights and Zoom
buttons as needed.
To use a laptop:
- Power on the projector by pressing the power button on the remote
TWICE.
- Once it's on, press the Computer button on the remote.
- Hook your laptop up to the VGA cable on the lectern. Do whatever
it takes to make it output a signal to this port. (This is frequently
a function key.)
