The Quest For the Nature of Dark Matter
Mike Kuhlen (UC Berkeley) - Sept 14, 2009 at 12:10 pm
Despite having observational evidence of its existence for more
than seventy years now, we still don't know the nature of Dark
Matter. Recent progress in astronomical observations, laboratory
experiments, theory, and numerical simulations has led to an
explosion in research on this topic. Here I review some of the
recent developments, with an emphasis on how ultra-high
resolution cosmological numerical simulations can contribute to
the quest to unravel the mystery of Dark Matter.
The seminar will be held in 544 Campbell Hall.
