Circumstellar Debris Disks: gas-dust and dust-planet interactions
Yanquin Wu (Univ. Toronto) - 8 May at 12:00 noon
Dusty, gas poor disks around young stars are left-overs of the much more
massive protoplanetary disks. They present many puzzles: how much gas is
still embedded in these disks? What are the composition of the dust
grains? What causes the rings/gaps/clumps in these disks? What are the
un-equivocal signatures of planets? I will present a few results from
our theoretical studies that shed some lights to these questions.
The seminar will be held in 544 Campbell Hall.
