How outflows reveal and assist accretion onto black holes

I will present results from our recent magnetohydrodynamical simulations of accretion flows onto black holes. My main focus is to explore the connection between accretion flows and related outflows. I will consider applications of such flows to low luminosity active galactic nuclei and gamma-ray bursts.
