This page discusses the various keywords that can be set in a plan file. Recall that the 3 letter keywords are to specified one per line. The keyword and value should be separated by one or more spaces or a tab; values for any keyword but CHIPS or SLITS can be followed by comments, so long as the comments are separated from the value by one or more tabs/spaces.


3-letter Keyword description example
MAS specifies the name of the slitmask MASKNAME: m33
RAW in conjunction with the environment variable $DEIMOS_DATA, it specifies the location of the rawdata files RAWDATADIR: data/11jun03
CHI specifies which chips (1-8) to run on CHIPS: 3,7
FLA specifies a flat frame FLAT: d1011_0023.fits.gz
ARC specifies a single arc frame to be used on both the blue and red side of the detector - not intended for use with BLU and RED; when specifying multiple arc for use on a single side or both sides of the detector use BLUE and RED ARC: d1011_0024.fits
BLU specifies an arc frame to be used on the blue side of the detector BLUEARC: d1011_0024.fits
RED specifies an arc frame to be used on the red side of the detector REDARC: d1011_0025.fits
A single arc frame can be specified using both BLU and RED. The arc will then be used on both the red and blue sides.
POL use polyflag method for wavelength fitting (DEFAULT) POLYFLAG

LIN specifies the arc lamplist to use LINELIST: lamp_NIST_blue.dat
