My Summer in California:

This summer (1998), I worked at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center in Palo Alto, CA. For a description of my work, stay tuned. For a description of my play...
Friday, July 10 (I could talk about the double-sided Kandinsky):
Two good things happened today. Not being able to convince anyone else to
come to NASA with me, I took the bus there. Not knowing that the tour
required a car, I was able to bum a ride with a family (two adults and one
kid). The tour was pretty boring, since they didn't show us any of the
real stuff-just some planes, no vertical simulators. By the time the tour
was over, the family knew I wasn't a psycho so offered to drive me back to
Stanford. By the time we got there, they were so enthralled by me that
they didn't want me to leave. Have you ever seen Six Degrees of
Separation? Will Smith goes into a rich couple's home, convincing them
that he is the son on Sidney Poitier.
The second good thing was that I bought a NASA tie. It's nicer than any
TShirt. Now, I just need someone to teach me how to tie it.
