Pickled Red Onions from Zuni Cafe Cookbook
The coconut lives at the intersection of cooking and hardware.

I am married to the fabulous Katie Peek, and we reside in lovely North Berkeley. If you have questions about my name, you can check out my name FAQ.

I enjoy a number of activities beyond astrophysics. I am the technical director for a small theater company, elastic future, and have designed many, many sets for small theaters and spaces in Cambridge, Princeton and San Francisco. I enjoy building random things with my hands, including sets, rough furniture, and, recently, rollerskates.

I am a veteran burner, having attended Burning Man in 2001, 2006, 2007 and 2008. I also have gotten interested in screen printing and graphic design, and I have emblazoned many pieces of clothing and created many cards, including the printing for my wedding. I highly recommend the print gocco to anyone interested in getting into screen printing. I enjoy rock climbing, and am mostly a gym rat, although I have bouldered in Yosemite, the Grand Tetons and around Berkeley. I have also been known to play Ultimate (frisbee) from time to time.
