Jupiter's Great Red Spot is Shrinking

Jupiter's Great Red Spot, an anticyclonic storm several times larger than Earth, has steadily decreased in size. Amateur astronomers have measured this since the 1930s, and noticed an increase in its shrinking rate in 2012. HST images taken since the mid-1990s have confirmed this.
