My primary research interests are galaxy clusters and galaxy mergers. These two topics are closely linked, as clusters house the densest concentrations of galaxies and are therefore fertile ground for interactions and mergers between galaxies. I analyze observations of galaxy clusters and am interested in their masses (determined via strong lensing arcs in the cluster), concentrations (a measure of the cluster's central density), and properties of their brightest cluster galaxies. My interest in galaxy mergers includes modeling minor mergers between red, gas-poor galaxies and searching for dual active galactic nuclei, an indicator of merging, in the DEEP2 galaxy data set.

My advisor at Berkeley is Marc Davis, and outside collaborators include Matthias Bartelmann, Priya Natarajan, and Lexi Moustakas.
