HD 32297 at 1.1 microns

HD 32297       SAO 112345     HIP 23451
RA (J2000) = 05 02 27.4366      Dec (J2000) = +07 27 39.681
SpT = A0    V = 8.13 mag    d = 112 pc
Proper Motion (mas/yr) = 6.67, -23.32

Discovery image obtained with the NICMOS instrument aboard the Hubble Space Telescope. These observations revealed a near edge-on disk around this A0 star. The disk is seen as close as 50 AU radius from the star.

Basic facts about HD 32297:

1) Stellar Mass = 2.9 Msun

2) Radius of Disk: 50 - 1680 AU

3) Age = 30 Million Years

4) Location: South of Taurus
