Hey all,
I'll be posting videos/images that I show in section on this website as the semester progresses. These might (hopefully) become useful study tools for the final.

Parameters everywhere!
There are very, many, parameters to keep track of in cosmology. They're all interrelated and they all evolve with time. I've generated an animation that follows the time-evolution of the following parameters:
| a | The scale factor. |
| da/dt | The time derivative of the scale factor. |
| da/dt | The time derivative of the scale factor. |
| q | The acceleration parameter. |
| H | The Hubble parameter in km/s/Mpc. |
| ρ | The densities of the components of the universe in units of proton mass per cubic cm.
|
| Ω | The Ω parameters of the components of the universe.
|
The x-axis is time in units of Gyrs and the current time and scale factor are indicated in the top left.
