I recently completed my PhD in astronomy at UC Berkeley. For my doctoral research, I studied galaxy formation and evolution and was involved in the SINS effort to probe massive galaxies in their youth at high-redshift and the SAURON studies of their descendants in the local Universe. Although I continue to be interested and active in both of these fields, the majority of my time is now spent on the development of scientific satellites at Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Los Angeles.
