Biography

Yong Zheng is now an assistant professor in the Department of Physics, Applied Physics, and Astronomy at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York. She is interested in galaxy formation and evolution, baryon cycles between galaxies and their circum-galactic medium (CGM), including inflows, outflows, and gas recycling. Her research focuses on constructing a coherent picture of how baryons cycle and recycle between galaxies and their CGM using multi-wavelength spectroscopy (UV Spectroscopy, HI 21cm, IFU, etc.) and cosmological simulations.
