Biography

I am a 3rd year graduate student and Steven Nelson Fellow working on gravitational wave and optical follow-up of compact objects with Alex Filippenko. Specifically, I am searching for Black Hole-Neutron Star and Neutron Star-Neutron Star mergers to probe extreme physics and to measure cosmological distances. More recently, I have been working on spectropolarimetry of supernovae. I received my B.S. in Physics from UC Santa Barbara, where I worked with Andy Howell and Iair Arcavi on the optical follow-up of gravitational wave candidates at the Las Cumbres Observatory. I am excited to be part of the new era of multimessenger astronomy!
