Hello! I am a second year graduate student working with Chung-Pei Ma on dynamical studies of nearby galaxies. Before moving to Berkeley for graduate school, I got my bachelor’s degree from Colgate University in upstate New York. For more information on me, my research, or my hobbies, check out my website!
I’m a third-year grad student working with Jessica Lu on Galactic Center stellar and compact object populations. I use JWST/NIRSpec IFU spectra to find black holes in binary systems in the Galactic Center. I have experience with the JWST pipeline, spectral reduction, and data visualization.
I graduated from the University of Colorado – Boulder in 2020 where I conducted research on Parker Solar Probe data, looking specifically at dust impacts on the spacecraft to deduce properties of the near-Sun dust environment. Papers can be seen in...
I am a sixth-year PhD candidate in the astronomy department here at Berkeley. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Washington University in St. Louis. My undergraduate research experience includes quantum physics, radio pulsar research, and particle physics, and I have performed graduate research involving gamma-ray detectors, adaptive optics / instrumentation, transient research, and galactic astronomy. I am currently working with Dr. Peter Nugent to train a machine learning classifier to identify lensed galaxies in the DESI Legacy Survey,...
I am a fifth-year graduate student in the Department of Astronomy, working with Prof. Courtney Dressing. I use both transit and radial velocity observations to study exoplanets, with a particular interest in multi-planet systems and planets orbiting cool host stars. For more details, see my website .
I am a 6th year graduate student and Steven Nelson Fellow working on spectroscopy and polarimetry of core collapse supernovae with Alex Filippenko, with a particular emphasis on those exhibiting circumstellar interaction. One of the primary goals of my research is to map the geometry of supernova explosions, exploring the degree of asymmetry in the ejecta. My interests extend to multimessenger astronomy, specifically gravitational wave cosmology and optical follow-up of compact objects. I received my B.S. in Physics from UC Santa Barbara, where I worked with Andy Howell on the...
I’m a third year graduate student studying high energy transients at radio wavelengths. In particular, I focus on the observation and radio analysis of core collapse supernova with significant emission many years to decade post explosion.
